WHERE: Piggy Bank, 280 La Union, Canutillo, Texas.
WHEN: Thursday, September 6, 2007 at approximately 10 p.m.
WHY: Still under investigation.
FYI: El Paso County Sheriff s office dispatch call reference an aggravated robbery in progress at the Piggy Bank grocery store in Canutillo. Deputies arrive and attempt to locate the two unidentified robberies. The attempt to track down the suspects fail and the case is turned over to C.I.D. detectives.
Sheriff’s detectives have determined that two males entered the store wearing masks and demanded money and threatened employees with a bat. The employees immediately took necessary safety precautions and summoned for help.
The offenders went behind the counter and took various items.
The men are described as suspect 1 & suspect 2.
Suspect 1: Is a male possibly in his late teens or early 20’s. He is 5’ 9” tall, medium build and was partially covering his face with a mask. He was wearing blue jeans, black T-shirt and dark in color tennis shoes.

Suspect 2: Is a male in his late teens or early 20’s. He is 5’ 10” tall, medium build and was wearing a black mask completely covering his head. He was also wearing what appear to be two t-shirts, black on top and white underneath. His pants are black.

“We were able to pick up some usable evidence at the scene and have been aggressively pursuing this case. We think the public can help us identify one of our suspects. They were very aggressive in their actions and need to be caught,” said Sergeant Jim Belknap, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.
