PIO SCHEDULE December 2007 & January 2008:
El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Public Affairs Office is operating under an on call basis. No one will be in the Public Affairs Office during the day. The PIO on call will answer to the Assistant Chief of Law Enforcement Ralph Mitchell.
On scene incidents will initially be handled by the on scene Supervisor. All incident information from the scene will be forwarded to the on call PIO for follow ups.
Background data or interview set ups for enterprise stories will be handled by the on call PIO for that week. Attempts will be made to accommodate those requests in a timely manner. Under these unique circumstances, the Sheriff’s Office, Public Affairs Department asks for your patience. Please note that the on call PIO’s works out in the field in a Patrol capacity and when the opportunity presents itself will respond to all pages when time permits.
