INFORMATION:
Late Saturday night 06-07-08 at 10:45 PM Sheriff Deputies were patrolling the area of San Elizario, TX when they observed a white BMW disregard a clearly marked stop sign at the intersection of Alarcon & Saltillo. Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the said vehicle but the driver refused to stop. Deputies gave chase as the driver was attempting to elude authorities driving recklessly in the near-by neighborhood. The vehicle finally pulled into a residence at the 13300 block of Andromeda. The driver then exited the vehicle & ran towards the backyard of the residence in a desperate attempt to elude capture. The driver was chased down by Sheriff Deputies and taken into custody.
The driver was identified as Edgar Rodriguez (20) of the 13300 block of Andromeda San Elizario, TX.
Rodriguez was arrested & charged with Evading Arrest / Detention with a Vehicle. It was discovered that Rodriguez also had 5 outstanding traffic warrants. He is currently out on bond.
