As far as information on the street closures in the Montana Vista area for the 4th of July, no major incidents to report / no citations were issued. Area residents / travelers complied with the holiday enforcement which made their community much safer this 4th of July holiday season.
Several Montana Vista area residents contacted our office thanking the Sheriff's Office for "Operation Day After", where inmates from the El Paso County Jail Annex volunteered to go out into the community & help with the clean-up. Inmates were supervised by EPSO Detention Officers at all times during the clean-up.
"The 4th of July Operations for this year were deemed a success"- said Deputy Jesse Tovar- PIO.
