INFORMATION:

Early Sunday morning 07-27-08 at about 4:05 AM, Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 1300 of Malmo Westway, TX in reference to an aggravated assault (stabbing). Upon arrival, Deputies found 2 individuals who suffered stab wounds. Information received indicates a party was taking place at this residence when a confrontation ensued between several individuals. It escalated into a fight & resulted in the stabbings. According to eye witness accounts, the subjects responsible for the stabbings fled just prior to Deputies arriving on scene. The description of the get away vehicle was said to be a Brown Ford Bronco. CID Detectives were summoned to the scene.

Both stab Victims were transported to Thomason Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The victims both of El Paso, TX- were identified as Juan Avila (21)- stabbed twice in the upper torso area and Mauricio Rodriguez (17)- suffered a stab to his upper left arm.

Late Sunday morning at about 11:30 am, a tip led Sheriff Deputies to the whereabouts of one of the subjects involved in the stabbings. Deputies apprehended Jose Luis Ceballos (20) of the 7200 block of Sixth St. Canutillo, TX. Further Investigation revealed Ceballos drove the get away vehicle & was an accomplice to the crime. He was charged and arrested for 2 counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon (knife).

Charge: 2 counts - Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon (knife) -$4,000 Total bond   

Sheriff Investigators are still looking for main suspect in these stabbings who possibly goes by the name "Axel Garcia"-no other information is available at this time.
