Incident / Arrest #1:

Deputy-2 Fabens, TX- Early Saturday morning, 08-09-2008 at 2:40 AM, Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 600 block of N. Fabens, TX in reference to a burglary. Deputies arrived moments later & made contact with the homeowner / Victim. The homeowner told Deputies she left her residence Friday night 08-08-2008 at about 6:00 PM and when she returned home at 2:00 am 08-09-2008 she noticed forced entry was made through her bedroom window. Deputies found shoe impressions leading from the home to another nearby residence (same shoe impressions). Deputies made contact with the male resident of the home. Deputies sought & obtained consent to search the residence. After a brief investigation & search of the residence, Sheriff Deputies located the stolen items inside the subjects home. He was charged and arrested for Burglary of Habitation. He was identified as Lorenzo Martinez (53) of the 600 block of N. Fabens Rd. Fabens, TX. A criminal history on Martinez shows him to have prior arrests for Burglary & Theft.

Incident / Arrest #2:

Patch-Black El Paso County, TX-  Early Saturday morning, 08-09-08 at 2:53 AM, Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to the 12900 block of Bowdoin in El Paso County, Texas in reference to a burglary of vehicle in progress. Deputies arrived and met with the owner of the vehicle / Victim who told Deputies she was notified by witnesses that a male subject had broken the window to her vehicle and then proceeded to walk to a property near-by. While Deputies were processing the crime scene, they spotted a male subject walking in the neighborhood matching the description initially given by witnesses.  Deputies quickly made contact with the subject. While talking to the subject, he became uncooperative & was evasive on questions asked of him. While Deputies conducted a pat-down search (for weapons) on of the subject, he became aggressive & resistant with Deputies.  The subject was quickly subdued and taken into custody. Further investigation revealed the subject was the same individual who damaged the Victim's vehicle. The subject was identified as Roberto Martinez(25) of the 12900 block of Bowdoin El Paso County, TX. He was charged and arrested for 1.) Criminal Mischief o/$50 u/$500 & 2.) Resisting Arrest. While being transported to the Montana Patrol station for the completion of the arrest paperwork, Martinez loosened his seatbelt & began to kicking the door of the patrol unit causing damage to the interior door frame. Martinez received an additional charge of 3.)Criminal Mischief o/$50 u/$500

Montana Vista- Early Saturday morning, 08-09-08 at 3:32 AM, Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to 3800 block Native Dancer El Paso County TX in reference to Burglary of Habitation. While arriving to the residence, responding Deputies observed a male subject running down the street. Deputies instructed the male subject to stop running who then became aggressive & uncooperative with authorities. Deputies quickly placed the subject into custody while they investigated what had taken place. Deputies met with the homeowner / Victim who told authorities the subject in custody had broken into her residence through the back door and attempted to sexually assault her but she managed to fight him off & call 911. The subject in custody was arrested & charged with Burglary of Habitation w/ intent to commit a felony (sexual assault). He was identified as Mauricio Javier Gamboa (32) of Davidson (east) El Paso, TX.  While transporting Gamboa to the Montana patrol station, he struck the rear window of the patrol unit with his head knocking the window out of the railing. Gamboa received an additional charge of Criminal Mischief (o/$50-u/$500).
