Motor Vehicle Accident (Fatality)

On 10/25/08 at approximately 0141hrs, El Paso County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to the 14200 blk of North Loop in reference to a motor vehicle accident/roll over. Deputies arrived at approxiamtely 0148hrs.

Investigators from the El Paso County Sheriff's Office Traffic Unit determined that the vehicle, a 2003 Green Chevrolet pick up truck, was traveling East on North Loop at the 14200 blk when it went off the roadway onto the right dirt shoulder, then traveled back onto the roadway, then traveled off the roadway onto the left dirt shoulder. The driver of the vehicle then over corrected causing the vehicle to hit a pole fence. After the vehicle struck the pole fence the vehicle rolled over landing on its top. The driver of the vehicle, a hispanic male, was ejected from the vehicle landing approximately 25 feet from the vehicle. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Speed and  Alcohol were determined to be factors. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt.

The drivers information will not be released unitl the investigators notify the next if kin.

The driver of the 2003 Chevrolet pick up truck who died at the scene of the accident has been identified as Raul Wood-Ocon, 19 years of age, from the 500 blk of 4th street, Tornillo Texas
