BACKGROUND:

TORNILLO, TX-  Early Sunday morning 10-26-08 at 4:00 AM, Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to 19300 block of Highland Tornillo,TX in reference to an Aggravated Assault in Progress. Deputies arrived minutes later and met with the homeowner who told Deputies he & his female acquaintance were asleep in a bedroom when they were suddenly awakened to a noise coming from the living room. The Victim's told Deputies they went to see what the noise was when they were confronted by 3 female subjects who had made entry into the home & proceeded to assault them with a piece of wood (2x4).  Entry into the home was made through a window. The male Victim sustained a large laceration to his head.

The 3 female subjects fled the scene in a black passenger car shortly after assaulting the Victim's. Responding Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle matching the description of the getaway car at I-10 West Mile Marker 51. All occupants were positively identified as the suspects involved the assault. All were taken into custody & placed under arrest.

The suspects were identified as Lourdes Renteria (39), her daughter Mayra Lizzette Lozano (20) & other 16 year-old daughter (who will not be identified because of her age)-all of the 4500 block of Blanco El Paso, Texas.  The Juvenile Suspect was cited and released to a family member. The two female adults were each charged with 2 counts of AGGRAVATED ASSAULT w/ DEADLY WEAPON. Both were booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility & are currently out on bond.

LOZANO: 2 COUNTS OF AGGRAVATED ASSAULT w/ DEADLY WEAPON - $3,000 TOTAL BOND

AN INVESTIGATION CONTINUES.
