WHERE: EAST EL PASO COUNTY, TX - (MONTANA VISTA & HORIZON CITY)

 WHY: BAR CHECK OPERATION

EL PASO,TX-  Late Saturday night 01-24-09 into early Sunday morning 01-25-09, Sheriff Deputies along with Officials from the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) & the U.S. Army Military Police AWOL Apprehension Section conducted bar checks at several East El Paso County establishments.

The Operation was deemed a success as there were 11 Arrests (1 Felony / 10 misdemeanor) and 14 citations as a result of the sting.

The Target locations included:

  • TEQUILA BAR 4001 Desert Meadows Rd (Montana Vista)- RESULTS: 2 ARRESTS for Public Intoxication, 1 ARREST for Possession of Marijuana, 1 ARREST for outstanding criminal warrant for Theft

  • HORIZON NIGHTCLUB 14831 Horizon (Horizon City)- RESULTS: 1 ARREST for Furnishing Alcohol to Minors & Traffic Warrants, 2 CITED for Minor in consumption of alcohol, 3 CITED for Minor in possession of alcohol & TABC issued an Administrative Citation for Allowing minor to possess and consume alcohol

CHARGE: PURCHASE / FURNISH ALCOHOL TO MINOR - $750 BOND

  • DARLINGS 1491 S. Darrington Rd. (East El Paso County) -RESULTS: 1 ARREST for Public Intoxication, 1 ARREST (owner) for Selling Alcoholic Beverages without a License, 1 ARREST for outstanding criminal warrant for DWI, 1 ARREST for multiple outstanding traffic warrants.
