ANTHONY, TEXAS- Late Monday night 02-16-09, Anthony Police Officers along with Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to a bar fight in progress at the Welcome Inn Bar located at 425 S. Main Anthony, TX. Authorities arrived to find a male subject outside of the bar with a severe stab wound to his stomach area. A second male subject with multiple stab wounds was also located nearby. Life Ambulance & First Responders arrived at the scene and began tending to the injured. Assisting Officers & Deputies arrived a few moments later and secured the crime scene. Sheriff’s Office Crimes against Persons Detectives were summoned to the scene.

Further Investigation determined 2 male subjects were involved in an argument inside the bar & proceeded outside the establishment where a fight ensued. The fight resulted in 2 men being stabbed ages 27 & 33. Both stab victims were the ones involved in the initial confrontation- both were taken to an area hospital & were in surgery as of 4:00AM. There were other subjects said to be outside the bar during the fight. CID Detectives are continuing with the investigation & are trying to determine if any other person(s) may be involved.
