GARCIA is wanted for the CRIME of:
BURGLARY OF VEHICLE - $10,000 BOND
GARCIA was just arrested 2 weeks ago on Wednesday February 11th, 2009 when Deputies arrested 17 year-old Fernando Parra from Fabens, TX who shot himself in the leg while mishandling a handgun. During Parra’s arrest, GARCIA and 2 others were arrested at a service station for POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA.

During the time all 4 subjects were being detained & eventually arrested Wednesday night 02-11-09, Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to a residence in Fabens, TX in reference to a Burglary of a Vehicle that had just occurred. Further investigation by Deputies determined 2 of the subjects in custody at the service station might be linked to the Burglary.
The items taken in the Burglary included speakers, amplifier, CD player, cell phone & other misc. items totaling $2,500. CID Crimes Against Property Detectives were assigned to the case.
Friday morning 02-20-09, Detectives worked up arrest warrants on the individuals involved in the Burglary. Detectives placed added charges on FERNANDO PARRA (17) who was already incarcerated for Unlawful Carrying of a Firearm & Face Report to a Peace Officer. Detectives also arrested 17 year-old EDDIE LUCERO of the 600 block of Main Fabens, TX. Both were charged with BURGLARY OF VEHICLE -$10,000 Bond.

GARCIA is the 3rd individual involved in the Burglary. Prior to the arrests of PARRA & LUCERO, GARCIA bonded out of jail earlier last week & quickly found out authorities were investigating the burglary. GARCIA knows he is wanted & is now on the run from Law Enforcement. Information received indicates GARCIA may be in the West Texas / Southern New Mexico area.
GARCIA has numerous contacts & relatives in the Fabens / El Paso, TX area.
Anyone who knows the whereabouts or has seen HECTOR JAVIER GARCIA or other fugitives featured on “MANHUNT MONDAY” is urged to call Crime Stoppers of El Paso at 566-TIPS (8477).
