WHY: ARREST MADE
EL PASO, TX- On 03-06-09 at 1:20 PM, Deputies received a tip on the whereabouts of a Wanted Suspect. A Wanted Bulletin had just been sent out earlier this week to law enforcement advising authorities to be on the look out for wanted suspect 17 year-old JOEL ALVARADO who was wanted for AGGRAVATED ROBBERY. ALVARADO was set to be featured as next Mondays (03/09) “MANHUNT MONDAY” Fugitive. The tip led Deputies to his residence in the 7000 block of Fourth Canutillo, TX. Deputies sought & were granted consent to search the home & found ALVARDO in his bedroom. He was quickly taken into custody without incident.
BACKGROUND: On Tuesday, February 17, 2009, ALVARADO and two accomplices, forced their way into a residence located in the 7000 bock of Fifth St., Canutillo, TX. The suspects demanded money from the victims & then fled shortly after. Suspect ALVARADO of the 7000 block of Fourth St. Canutillo, TX was positively identified as one of the three suspects. Two of the suspects brandished knives during the AGGRAVATED ROBBERY.

CHARGE: AGGRAVATED ROBBERY - $20,000 BOND
