STRIKE TEAM

EL PASO COUNTY, TX- Saturday afternoon, Lower Valley Patrol Units, along with assisting Operation Border Star units were dispatched to the 13000 block of Gateway West Blvd in reference to an Motor Vehicle Accident rollover. Deputies arrived moments later to find a 2004 Nissan Titan with heavy rollover damage sitting facing southeast in the left lane of Gateway West. The male Driver / Victim (sole occupant) was found several feet away with no signs of life. Special Traffic Investigators were summoned to the scene.

Preliminary Investigation reveals the Nissan Titan was traveling westbound on I-10 when suddenly for unknown reasons the truck veered off the westbound lanes of I-10 rolling several times onto the Gateway. The male Driver / Victim was ejected approximately 30 feet & died at the scene.

The Deceased was identified as Ivan Miguel Flores (31) of the 12000 block of Chato Villa, El Paso, TX.  

Portions of I-10 & Gateway West were closed for several hours until about 4:30 PM where all lanes were reopened for traffic.

AUTOPSY / TOXICOLOGY REPORTS ARE PENDING.

AN INVESTIGATION CONTINUES.
