WHY: 2nd ARREST MADE
HORIZON CITY, TEXAS- Over the weekend Sheriff’s Detectives arrested a 2nd subject in connection to events that unfolded during the early morning hours of Saturday March 21, 2009 just before JUAN MANUEL DOMINGUEZ (44) of the 9800 block of Cornus El Paso, TX was violently struck & killed by a vehicle.
Sheriff’s Office Crimes Against Persons Detectives have arrested 21 year-old FERNANDO CAMARGO of the 14500 block of Valentin Horizon City, TX. During the investigation, Detectives learned that during the night of the incident while a confrontation with several individuals was taking place in the street, CAMARGO purposely drove his Green 1999 Oldsmobile into an empty lot where the Victim was standing & struck him in the leg. The Victim who was struck will not be identified at this time. CAMARGO was arrested & charged with AGGRAVATED ASSAULT w/ A DEADLY WEAPON. He was booked & remains in the El Paso County Detention Facility.
This incident took place moments before the deceased JUAN MANUEL DOMINGUEZ was struck by another vehicle driven by MICHAEL LAMBERT (26) of the 11000 block of Casa View El Paso, TX 79936.
ARRESTED:

CHARGE: AGGRAVATED ASSAULT w/ A DEADLY WEAPON- $25,000 BOND
BACKGROUND:
Just after midnight, early Saturday morning 03-21-09, Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to an injured party call (vehicle striking pedestrians) at the intersection of Annegret & Uli Reucker in East El Paso County, TX. Responding Deputies arrived moments later to find several people in the street to include 3 individuals lying on the street who had just been struck by a moving vehicle. The suspect vehicle described as a White Mitsubishi Lancer, fled the scene prior to the Deputies arrival.
Preliminary investigation reveals a house party was taking place at a nearby residence. While patrons were leaving the party, a confrontation ensued in the street resulting in 3 subjects (2 males / 1 female) struck by the White passenger car. A male subject whose identification will not be released at this time sustained serious injuries. He was transported to Thomason Hospital by Life Ambulance. Crimes Against Persons Detectives –CID were summoned to the scene.

UPDATE 03-21-09: One of the male Victim’s identified as JUAN MANUEL DOMINGUEZ (44) of the 9800 block of Cornus El Paso, TX died due to the injuries he sustained.
The other two Victim’s were identified as:
- DEVARA MICHELLE TICALI (39) wife of the deceased of the same 9800 block of Cornus El Paso, TX.
- VALDO BOTELLO (37) of the 14500 block of Annegret El Paso County, TX.
Detectives are actively working a this case continuing the investigation still talking to several witnesses & trying to sort out all persons involved.

UPDATE 03-24-09: After an extensive investigation, Crimes Against Persons Detectives have made an arrest in connection with the death of JUAN MANUEL DOMINGUEZ (44) who was killed after getting struck by a White Mitsubishi Lancer early Saturday morning.
Detectives arrested MICHAEL LAMBERT (26) of the 11000 block of Casa View El Paso, TX 79936. Detectives investigating the case learned that Suspect LAMBERT was the individual operating the White Mitsubishi Lancer which struck three (3) individuals at about the 600 block of Uli Ruecker resulting in the death of JUAN MANUEL DOMINGUEZ who was pronounced dead after arriving to Thomason Hospital. Autopsy results revealed DOMINGUEZ died due to the injuries sustained after being struck by the vehicle.
Investigation revealed the entire incident occurred after individuals from two (2) separate parties became involved in a verbal altercation which escalated into a physical confrontation which involved numerous subjects.

1. MURDER - $500,000 BOND
2. AGGRAVATED ASSAULT WITH DEADLY WEAPON - $100,000 BOND
