EL PASO COUNTY, TX– Saturday afternoon 05-24-09 at 2:25PM, Sheriff’s Deputies had a walk-in at the Montana Patrol Station located at 12501 Montana, El Paso County, TX in reference to family violence. Deputies met with the female individual / Victim who told authorities she was physically assaulted the night before (05-23-09) by her common law husband. According to the Victim, the incident took place at their residence in the 12700 block of Montana. The victim told authorities that a verbal argument escalated to her husband choking her proceeding to allegedly threaten her with a hand gun. The male subject then tied the Victim with duct tape & again repeatedly threatened to kill her.
Sheriff’s deputies proceeded to the mentioned residence and took the suspect into custody. The Suspect was placed under arrest for AGGRAVATED ASSAULT W/ DEADLY WEAPON / FAMILY VIOLENCE ($50,000 bond), UNLAWFUL RESTRAINT / FAMILY VIOLENCE ($35,000 bond) and TERRORISTIC THREAT / FAMILY VIOLENCE ($15,000 bond).
Sheriff’s Officials requested a wanted person on the male subject and learned he was wanted on an outstanding Sheriff’s Office DWI Criminal Warrant ($10,000 bond). The Suspect was identified as JAIME MURILLO MURGUIA (27). An PROTECTIVE ORDER was also placed on MURGUIA at the request of the Victim. He remains at the El Paso County Detention Facility.
