RESULT: DRUG SEIZURE
EL PASO,TX- Friday evening 07-10-09 at about 6:30 PM, Sheriff’s Deputies working OPERATION BORDER STAR were conducting a stationary vehicle check point for Driver License and Insurance Violations at the 11400 block of Stockyard, El Paso, TX. While working the checkpoint, Deputies noticed a 1998 Freightliner truck pull over on the shoulder of the roadway appearing to avoid the roadblock. The Deputy noticed that the driver a Hispanic male appeared to be acting very suspicious around the truck; a witness reported that the Hispanic male fled the scene in a pickup truck prior to officers checking the freightliner truck. A K-9 search of the vehicle revealed 22.2 Kilograms inside of the freightliner. Investigation continues…
