RESULT:  ARRESTS MADE

ArrestedCANUTILLO, TX- On Thursday, July 30, 2009, at 6:51 PM, Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to a Burglary of Building call at Ramon’s Beer & Market located at 7616 Doniphan, El Paso County, Canutillo, TX. Responding Deputies in coordination with Dispatch Operators observed a vehicle matching the description given of a suspect vehicle (Blue Honda CRV) involved in the burglary. A traffic stop on the Honda was conducted at the intersection of Doniphan and Valley Chile. Deputies observed there was 4 occupants in the vehicle. Deputies had all parties exit the vehicle & separated. After further investigation, Deputies determined all stories given by the occupants were conflicting. Deputies also located (in plain view) 4 (20) packs of Bud Light, 2 Marlboro Cigarette packs and 3 (3) liters of Coca Cola inside the vehicle.

Further investigation revealed 2 (male & female) of the 4 subjects detained had in fact burglarized the business. Entry into the business was made thru a window.

The couple was arrested & charged with BURGLARY OF A BUILDING. They were identified as LUIS VASQUEZ (38) of the 300 block of Chicken Farm Rd. Anthony, TX & CAROLINA RAMOS (29) of the 1200 block of Katy Chaparral, New Mexico. Both remain at the El Paso County Detention Facility.
