MONTANA VISTA- Thursday night 07-30-09 at 7:40 PM, Strike Team Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a lack Chevrolet pick-up truck at the 5400 block of O'Leary. Reason for the stop was failing to signal intent to turn & for swerving off the roadway onto the right shoulder of the road. Deputies made contact with the driver (sole occupant) & noticed that the male driver was highly intoxicated.
Deputies conducted Standardized Field Sobriety Tests on the driver which he failed all tests administered. The driver was then arrested & charged for DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED. The driver later voluntarily provided a breath sample resulting in his Breath Alcohol Content being over 4 times the legal limit. Due to his high intoxicated level Deputies transported the driver to the University Medical Center of El Paso for a Medical evaluation prior to booking. The driver was identified as MOISES VELASQUEZ- SANCHEZ (26) of the 15000 block of Ryan Wesley El Paso, TX.
