shirts EL PASO COUNTY, TXDuring the week of August 4, to August 8, 2009, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Strike Team spearheaded Operation John.  The operation was a reversal prostitution operation in which female undercover Deputies posed as prostitutes. The operation covered several areas in El Paso County that are known for prostitution activity.  During the operation Deputies arrested a total of 15 people for either offering to engage, or agreeing to engage in sexual activity for a fee.  Those people were charged with Prostitution; of those arrested for prostitution, two people had current outstanding warrants.  

Deputies also arrested 2 people for possession of narcotics (1 for marijuana & 1 for cocaine). One other person was arrested for three outstanding criminal warrants. 

While Deputies were conducting surveillance for this operation, Deputies observed suspicious activity in the area of Alameda and Delta. Deputies observed a male subject driving in and out of parking lots for several businesses that were closed.  Deputies observed the vehicle stop & park in a parking lot of a convenience store (that was closed) at that same intersection. A male subject exited the vehicle & was then seen walking through the parking lot & proceeded to cross Alameda. The male walked west on Alameda & was spotted by Deputies walk behind a hotel where he walked along a side alley way of the hotel. Shortly after, Deputies approached the male who was then detained. Further investigation revealed that the male subject was looking inside the rooms to the hotel through the windows. The subject was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct.
