EL PASO COUNTY, TX– During the week of August 12 to August 15 2009, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Strike Team conducted “OPERATION DEAD BEAT”. The operation was intended to identify and locate subjects who had outstanding warrants for Criminal Non-Support (Child Support back pay). As a result of the operation Strike Team Deputies located a total of 11 people that had outstanding warrants for various amounts of unpaid child support. During the operation Deputies also located two other subjects that had active unrelated felony criminal warrants. One of the additional subjects located was wanted for assaulting a school district security officer and the other for a Driving While intoxicated 3rd or more charge.
