DEPUTY SHERIFF RECEIVES PRESTIGIOUS NATIONAL AWARDS DURING CONFERENCE IN INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA

INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA- During August 18th-21st, 2009, EPIC and DIAP (Drug Interdiction Assistance Program) had their 19th Annual EPIC /DIAP Training Conference in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Sheriff’s Office Deputy Manny Marquez received the EPIC Directors Award and the DIAP “WARHORSE AWARD” which is a nationally recognized award from the El Paso Intelligence Center and the National Drug Interdiction
and Prevention Organization.
Deputy Marquez was awarded the EPIC Directors Award by the 70 plus certified Instructors from across the country who recognized Deputy Marquez for his outstanding Drug Interdiction instruction across the Country.
Deputy Marquez was also awarded the DIAP “WARHORSE AWARD” given for continued, sustained, and tireless “behind the scenes” efforts in successfully supporting passenger and commercial motor vehicle criminal interdiction activities across the country. Only one “WARHORSE AWARD” is given in the Nation and Deputy Marquez received the award this year.
