GRADUATION / PROMOTION CEREMONY 
EL PASO, TX- On August 28, 2009, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Region VIII Training Academy hosted a Graduation / Promotion Ceremony at the Ysleta Independent School District (YISD) Cultural Arts Center “Theater” 9600 Sims Dr. El Paso, Texas 79912.
A total of 14 cadets of Class 09-2 graduated from the Region VIII Training Academy- Basic County Corrections Academy.
The ceremony also included the promotion of Deputies Daniel Beltran & Kenneth Watt to the rank of Detectives.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office in March of 2001 was the first Sheriff’s Office in the State of Texas to be Internationally Accredited from CALEA and is now the recipient of the First CALEA Tri-Arc award in Texas (4th in the Nation) to have accreditations in: Law Enforcement, Communications, Training Academy.
