EL PASO, TX- Over the weekend two individuals were arrested on drug charges, the 1st arrest resulted during a traffic stop when a Deputy stopped a Blue Ford Mustang for a traffic violation in the 9600 block of Acer. As the Deputy made contact with the male driver (sole occupant) he noticed the driver to be extremely nervous and was evasive of questions asked of him. A K-9 search of the vehicle revealed 12 bundles inside the trunk resulting in 13 Kilos of cocaine. The driver was arrested and charged with POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (Cocaine) o/400 grams.
The driver was identified as MARTIN AVILA (32) from the 3000 of Rivera El Paso, TX. He remains at the El Paso County Detention Facility under a $250,000 Bond.

EL PASO, TX- On Sunday 09-13-09 at about 10:00 AM, Sheriff’s Deputies working on a tip of possible narcotic activity responded to the parking lot of a Kmart located at 6375 Montana in El Paso, Texas.
