EL PASO, TEXAS- This week’s Manhunt Monday Fugitive is an individual who led deputies on a high speed chase back in July of 2008.
On 07-28-2008 at 2:00 AM, Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a residence in Canutillo, Texas in reference to a family violence call in progress. As Deputies arrived to the residence, a female frantically ran outside of the home telling Deputies her husband JESUS ARRIETA had just threatened to kill her and pointed to a blue Ford Explorer speeding away telling Deputies that was him trying to get away. Deputies attempted to pull the Explorer over but ARRIETA refused to stop. ARRIETA led Deputies on high speed chase throughout the Canutillo area & drove the truck into the desert area and fled on foot. Deputies searched the area for hours but lost ARRIETA due to the darkness of the desert. While conducting an inventory of the vehicle, Deputies discovered several baggies of cocaine inside. Charges have since been filed against ARRIETA & he has not been seen since.
ARRIETA knows he is wanted and continues to elude capture. It is believed ARRIETA resides in Anthony, NM & is possibly involved in street level narcotics. New information received indicates ARRIETA works in construction and is said to commute to El Paso, TX almost every day.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts or has seen JESUS ARRIETA is urged to call Crime Stoppers of El Paso at 566-TIPS (8477). Callers will remain anonymous & may be eligible for a reward if the information provided leads to the apprehension of the individuals featured.
