Sheriff Badge EL PASO, TX-  Earlier this week, Sheriff’s Deputies received information from an anonymous source as to the whereabouts of WANTED FUGITIVE CHRISTIAN AVALOS. Deputies had been searching for AVALOS in connection with a stabbing that occurred at a San Elizario party on October 4, 2009. AVALOS was arrested at an undisclosed location without incident.

AVALOS’  arrest marks the 30th MANHUNT MONDAY capture in just over a year.

Engaging in organized criminal activity: $20,000 Bond

Background:

On October 4, 2009 at about 1:30 AM, Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the area of Gaucho Rd. in San Elizario, TX in reference to a stabbing. Deputies arrived and found a 25 year old male / Victim who told Sheriff’s Officials he had been stabbed multiple times while attending a party at a residence on Gaucho Rd. The Victim who will not be identified survived the attack.

Through the course of the investigation, CID Crimes Against Persons Detectives learned that there were 4 suspects (all from San Elizario, TX) involved in the stabbing. Last Tuesday 10-13-09 , CID Detectives arrested 2 out of the 4 men sought for the stabbing. Detectives arrested Jesus Soria (21) & Alberto Soria (32). Both men were charged with ENGAGING IN ORGANIZED CRIMINAL ACTIVITY /AGGRAVATED ASSAULT DEADLY WEAPON. Both were booked at the El Paso County Detention Facility under a $20,000.00 bond.

Two days later on Thursday October 15, 2009, a third suspect identified as Moises Soria (23) turned himself in to authorities. He was also charged & booked with ENGAGING IN ORGANIZED CRIMINAL ACTIVITY /AGGRAVATED ASSAULT DEADLY WEAPON and remains at the El Paso County Detention Facility under a $20,000.00 bond.

AVALOS remain at large until his capture earlier this week.
