EL PASO, TX- Tuesday afternoon 10-27-09 at 3:15 PM, WANTED FUGITIVE PEDRO JOSE ESTACO turned himself in to Deputies. ESTACO was wanted for failing to appear in court for a disturbing Family Violence incident that occurred back in August 2007, where the ESTACO assaulted a woman & proceeded to step on her throat. ESTACO was arrested at an undisclosed location without incident.

Assault causing Bodily Injury / Family Violence : $3,500 Bond
Background:
On August 5, 2007, Officers from the El Paso Police Department responded to a residence in east El Paso where officers met with woman who told officers she and her common-law husband who was identified as PEDRO JOSE ESTACO were arguing over family issues. The Victim stated ESTACO became irate during the argument and began assaulting her grabbing her by the arms & throwing her to ground. While the Victim was on the ground, ESTACO went on to step on her neck threatening to kill the Victim. ESTACO left the residence shortly after and an arrest warrant was issued for him. ESTACO was arrested in April 2008 after several months on the run. ESTACO bonded out a short time later & has since failed to show for court.
