RESULT: INVESTIGATION CONTINUES
SPARKS: Early Wednesday morning 11-04-09 at about 1:00 AM, Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to the area of the 12800 block of Jeremiah (Sparks area) El Paso County, TX in reference to an aggravated assault in progress. Deputies arrived moments later and made contact with a 33 male subject / Victim who told authorities that he suffered a gunshot wound to his left leg. Life Ambulance Medics arrived a short time later and began tending to the Victim.
The Victim initially told Deputies he was walking down the street when he heard a gunshot & noticed he was bleeding from the leg. The Victim's story was inconsistent & he refused to file charges for the shooting / his injury. He was transported to University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
At this point it is unknown if the shooting was accidental or if the Victim who will not be identified at this time was targeted by unknown suspect(s).
INVESTIGATION CONTINUES.
