RESULT: FUGITIVE ARRESTED
El Paso County, TX- Early Tuesday morning 11-03-09 at about 7:00 AM, Sheriff's Deputies received information on the whereabouts of a WANTED FUGITIVE. Information provided to Deputies gave the location of wanted fugitive RICARDO ORDONEZ who was wanted on a criminal warrant for SEXUAL ASSAULT. The tip led Deputies to a residence in the 700 block of Delilah in Socorro, TX. Deputies made contact with the homeowner and obtained consent to search the home. While searching the home, Deputies observed a piece of furniture directly under the access door to the attic & noticed the attic door was pushed open. Deputies climbed into the attic and observed ORDONEZ lying under a mountain of insulation in an attempt to conceal himself. A brief standoff ensued in which ORDONEZ asked to be shot because he would rather die than go back to prison. After several verbal commands, ORDONEZ agreed to come out and was taken into custody in the attic without further incident
Two marijuana plants were also found in plain view inside the home. ORDONEZ claimed
ownership of the plants and was also charged with POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA. ORDONEZ was featured as one of the Sheriff's Office Most Wanted on the August 2, 2009.
