EL PASO, TEXAS- Just this past week, MANHUNT MONDAY hit the epic milestone of 100 Captures (see here…). As we continue forward, this week - a criminal duo is sought for leading Sheriff's Deputies on a lengthy car / foot chase. The target duo are identified as RUBEN RAMIREZ (17) & ALBERT ALVAREZ(19) from El Paso, TX.
NOVEMBER 2011 On 11-28-2011 at approximately 10:50 PM, a Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a Silver Ford Taurus for a moving violation in East El Paso county, TX. The driver of the Taurus refused to stop leading Deputies on a vehicle pursuit which stretched for several miles. The vehicle came to a an abrupt halt as the occupants exited the vehicle fleeing on foot. Deputies gave chase but lost the subjects in the dark desert area. Further investigation revealed RUBEN RAMIREZ & ALBERT ALVAREZ were the subjects who occupied the vehicle. Deputies located several items inside the vehicle which may be linked to recent burglaries in the area.
EVADING ARREST / DETENTION W/ VEHICLE warrants of arrest have been issued for the apprehension of RUBEN RAMIREZ who is also wanted on a BURGLARY OF HABITATION warrant out of the City of El Paso (EPPD) & ALBERT ALVAREZ who is also sought by EPPD on an unrelated AGGRAVATED ASSAULT W/ DEADLY WEAPON charge.
Both RAMIREZ & ALVAREZ know they are wanted and are believed to remain in the area hiding with friends or family.
Law Enforcement is asking the public - if anyone has seen or has any information on the whereabouts of RUBEN RAMIREZ & ALBERT ALVAREZ to please contact the Crime Stoppers of El Paso at 566-TIPS (8477). Callers will remain anonymous & may be eligible for a reward if the information provided leads to the apprehension of the individuals featured.
