EL PASO TEXAS- On 11-16-12 at 10:15 PM, Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a man for giving a false name during a traffic stop as he gave several indicators that was not his true name.  In the end, Deputies confirmed the man’s identify as 31 year old JUAN LEON from the 14000 block of Whitetail Deer (Montana Vista area).  As LEON was taken into custody LEON fled on foot which resulted in his apprehension shortly after LEON was tased. 

Further investigation revealed LEON was wanted for an outstanding warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance and had a $50,000 bond.  Additional charges of Evading Arrest/Detention and Failure to Identify/FFJ were added to LEON. 

LEON was stopped at the intersection of Mark Jason and Gabriela (Montana Vista area) after driving with a defective tail lamp in a green 1997 Chrysler.
