imageEL PASO TEXAS-On 01-16-13 at approximately 11:15 AM, Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to Mark Jason and Marvin Ln. in reference to a burglary in progress.  Deputies were in search of three suspects who fled the scene in what was described as a black Toyota Tacoma at the time after allegedly burglarizing a shed located at the 14800 block Marvin Ln.

A vehicle pursuit ensued after a Sheriff’s Deputy saw a same type vehicle with the described stolen items.  The 2001 Blue Ford Ranger lead deputies on a chase through the Montana Vista area and was seen travel into the desert area south of Montana Vista High School.  The EPCSO/Search and Rescue team was activated who joined in the search using 4x4 vehicles.  The vehicle was located south of Jobe Rd. (Cherrington) where it was found abandoned.

A Border Patrol aircrew of N850BP (Omaha 50) was requested to assist and spotted two of the three suspects.  Agents detained the suspects pending the arrival of Sheriff’s units.  Jesus Reza and a male juvenile 16 years of age were taken into custody.  The third suspect, Aaron Jimenez was later apprehended after a Sheriff’s Deputy in the immediate area saw Jimenez emerge from the desert area onto Asencion Rd.  Further investigation resulted in the arrest of Reza and Jimenez.  Both were charged with Theft of Materials and Evading Arrest & Detention with a Vehicle.
