Pets Advancing Wellness and Success

EL PASO TEXAS- On Sunday January 13th the Animal Rescue League teamed up with the Animal Shelter Advisory committee to insure that pets started the New Year right by hosting a Vaccination Clinic at 12501 Montana Ave., at the Leo Samaniego Jail Annex from 11:00 to 3:00 PM.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s PAWS in Detention Section took part in organizing the event and demonstrated to the crowd basic dog obedience commands.  The Officer also provided animal safety training and promoted the importance of vaccination.  Flyers were also distributed providing program education and contact information for donations and adoptions.

The goal, to educate and start the New Year right by making sure that community pets were vaccinated, sterilized and micro-chipped.

The event was a success with a total number of 400 dogs vaccinated (caine parvorirus),  129 for Rabies Shots, 20 spay or neutered, and 36 micro-chipped.
