SHOTS FIRED DURING A BEER RUN

EL PASO TEXAS- Yesterday evening at approximately 8:50 PM, Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to 14421 Montana Ave. (Phillip 66) in reference to a beer run. Upon arrival Deputies learned the alleged suspect(s) took a 20-pack of Budweiser when gun shots were fired at the fleeing suspect(s) at the time of the theft (Theft u/$50).
Further investigation revealed the store clerk is a concealed handgun carrier and was on duty at the time of the incident. One of the suspects was described as a Hispanic male approximately 30-40 years of age, possibly 5"’7’ in height and was wearing a white and red baseball cap as he made way out the door and fled in a dark colored Sports Utility type vehicle occupied by two other males suspects.
There were no injuries reported on scene. Deputies were told the vehicle may bullet holes. The shooting occurred outside the store. The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Crime scene Unit was summoned to the scene and the Criminal Investigation Section notified. The firearm was recovered from the store clerk. The investigation continues.
