On Saturday, February 9th, 2013, just before 10:00 P.M., the suspect walked into the Family Dollar store at 8899 Alameda, approaching an employee in the back of the store and demanding money. The suspect displayed a handgun while making the demand for money. The employee turned over an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect, who then fled out the back door of the store.
Through surveillance video investigators determined that the suspect appears to be a white or Hispanic male, approximately 30 years of age, wearing a black hat, black jacket, and blue jeans. The suspect also appears to have a full beard and mustache. The suspect is believed to have fled in a late model SUV but no further description is available.
