On Thursday, January 17th, 2013, about 3:40 AM, the suspect walked into the La Quinta Inn at 11033 Gateway West wearing a ski mask and inquiring about a room. The suspect then demanded money from the cash register, and fled on foot from the hotel with an undisclosed amount of money. About 20 minutes later, the same suspect entered the La Quinta Inn at 7944 Gateway East demanding money and showing his weapon to the clerk. But a security guard entered the office and the suspect ran away.
The suspect is described as a man of unknown race and age, wearing a gray hooded sweater with red lettering across the front, light blue jeans, white sneakers, and gloves. He was also wearing a black ski mask. There is no vehicle description.
