A Road Rage Incident Escalates to a Shooting In El Paso’s Eastside, making this the
Crime Stoppers “Crime of the Week”
EL PASO, TEXAS – A road rage incident escalates to a shooting on the city’s Eastside and Detectives from the El Paso Police Department are asking for help in finding this violent criminal through Crime Stoppers. Just before eleven, on the night of Tuesday, May 21st 2013, a man and his family were walking out of the Chico’s Restaurant at 1300 George Dieter. As the man and his family were crossing the parking lot, the suspect began inching the car forward as is he was going to run over the family. As the family entered their vehicle and left the parking lot, the suspect began to follow them northbound on George Dieter. During this time, the suspect began trying to cut off the victim and caused the victim to have to swerve several times. As they were approaching the intersection of Trawood, the suspect fired a handgun striking the victim’s car. The bullet penetrated the car and grazed the victim’s leg. The suspect made a u-turn and fled the scene. The victim was not seriously injured. The suspect is described as a male, approximately 20 to 30 years of age, medium build, with a slight beard and was last seen wearing a dark gray shirt, black shorts and black tennis shoes. The vehicle involved is described as white Nissan sports car similar to a 350z or 370z.
