EL PASO TEXAS-  On 07-27-13 at approximately 8:40 AM, Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident at the 12400 block of Camino De La Rosa, in San Elizario, TX.  Deputies arrived to find a black 2008 Ford Fusion on its driver’s side with a trapped female occupant.  San Elizario Volunteer Fire Fighters were on scene and were able to remove the female through the front windshield.  Further investigation revealed driver/29 year old Maria Teresa Aguirre of San Elizario, sole occupant, was traveling eastbound when she approached a curve at a high rate of speed, lost control of the vehicle and stuck an electrical pole which caused the vehicle to roll several times.  The vehicle landed in front of a resident’s yard damaging a portion of the chain-link fence.  Aguirre was transported to a local area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  Aguirre is facing a Driving While Intoxicated charge.
