image_thumb3EL PASO TEXAS- At approximately 2:15 AM, a Sheriff’s Deputy patrolling the Lower-Valley observed the driver of a silver & black Dodge pick-up fail to use the turn signal as it turned onto Linwood Dr. , El Paso County Texas.  Before the vehicle came to a stop, the Deputy noticed the passenger/offender make several suspicious movements.  Once stopped, the offender exited the vehicle, dropped an unknown item, and fled on foot southbound onto Lindwood Dr.  The Deputy gave chase to the 14600 block of Pasaje Rd. where the offender came to a dead end.  The offender was tased prior to disobeying all commands as the offender walked towards the Deputy.  The offender was identified as Mariano Macias of the 15000 block of Colonia Tierra, Clint, TX, and charged with Evading Arrest and Detention. It is unknown what Macias was seen drop.
