Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week

EL PASO, TEXAS – A man robs a Northeast El Paso business at gun point and Investigators from the El Paso Police Department are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the man through the Crime Stoppers “Crime of the Week.” On the afternoon of Wednesday, July 31st, 2013, just before 4:30, a man walked into the Payless Shoe store located at 8401 Dyer. Once inside, the man walked over to the checkout and approached an employee that was working the cash register.  The suspect then threatened the employee with a handgun and demanded money from the cash register.  The man fled the scene with an undisclosed amount.  The suspect was captured on surveillance video and is described as being 5`11” in height, having a thin build, and has short hair on the sides and long dark brown hair on top.  The suspect was wearing a long sleeve blue shirt, faded blue jeans, and a gray bandana covering his right hand. The suspect also used a red bandana to cover his face.
