image EL PASO TEXAS- On 08-18-13 at approximately 4:30 AM Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the 12100 block of Socorro Rd., San Elizario, TX, in reference to an assault.  Upon arrival, Deputies discovered a 41 year old female was struck by a vehicle/Van driven by a male subject who fled the scene after assaulting the victim and her daughter who arrived to help.

The subject first struck the daughter’s vehicle then the victim’s vehicle, pinning the victim between her vehicle and a chain link fence.  The subject then fled the scene in a different vehicle, a black Pontiac Grand Prix, unknown registration, possibly headed to Mexico.  Further investigation revealed an argument ensued between the female victim and male subject prior to the alleged incidents.  The female victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and refused transport to the hospital.  Shortly after, Deputies confirmed through the Sheriff’s Office Communications Section the subject was seen cross into Mexico.  An additional vehicle was reported to be damaged from the same incident at the same location.  The investigation continues with charges pending.
