El PASO TEXAS- This evening at approximately 7:25 PM Lower-Valley Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian at the 13800 block of Socorro Rd., San Elizario, TX.  Upon arrival Deputies made contact with a female (juvenile) who was found lying in the middle of the roadway. A preliminary investigation has revealed the victim, 15 years of age, crossed in front of the path of a Chevrolet pick-up truck that was traveling eastbound on Socorro Rd. when she was struck by the driver.  The victim was transported by ambulance to a local area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  The driver, of San Elizario, remained on scene at the time of the accident and is said to have provided aid to the victim. The driver was cited for no operator’s license and no insurance and had an outstanding traffic warrant.
