On 01-03-14 at about 1:30am, Sheriff’s Office Deputies from the Clint Station were dispatched to the 400 block of NW Camp in Faben Tx, in reference to a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival a blue Chevrolet Tahoe was found upside down just off the roadway and had damaged a natural gas pipe line. The initial investigation revealed that the Tahoe was traveling eastbound on Camp St and went into the westbound lane. The Tahoe then struck several large rocks and rolled striking the gas pipe line and chain link fence. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle received minor injuries and was transported to Del Sol Hospital.

The  damaged gas pipe was capped by the Fabens Fire Department fire fighters and a representative from Texas Gas was requested to assess the damage. No residences had to be evacuated due to the gas pipe rupture. Contact with the property owner is pending for an estimate on damages.
