Two Burglars Arrested in Montana Vista

    On 02-15-14 at about 10:15am Sheriff’s Office Deputies were called to a burglary of habitation that occurred at the 3600 block of Gwendolyn Dr. in the Montana Vista area. The victim in this case reported that on 02-14-14, an AK-47 automatic rifle was stolen from his home and believed that it was stolen by his grandson Hector Lujan.

At about 3:30pm, Deputies were called to the 14600 block of Anton Ave. in reference to a runaway named Adrian Gallegos who had returned home. Deputies determined that Gallegos had been with Hector Lujan earlier in the day and Deputies were able to link the two subjects to the stolen AK-47. The Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division (CID) Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators were requested to handle the case.

At about 10:30pm, Deputies located Hector Lujan in an abandoned shed in the Montana Vista area. At the same time, CID Detectives, through their investigation, were able to get a location on the AK-47. The rifle was recovered at the 3600 block of Lyman Ln. Both Hector Lujan and Adrian Gallegos were arrested and charged with Burglary of Habitation.
