On 05-15-14 between 8:00am and 10:00am, the Sheriff’s Office conducted a stationary vehicle check in Anthony Tx. The vehicle check was conducted to ensure motorists were complying with applicable safety related traffic laws, license requirements, and financial responsibility requirements. Deputies from the Vinton Station and the Traffic Section worked together with Anthony Texas Police Department Officers and Deputy Constables from the El Paso County Constable’s Office (Precinct 7). The Stationary Vehicle Check was conducted at the intersection of Main St. and Franklin St. in Anthony Texas. Waiting times were minimal and delays were mainly due to drivers being unprepared to present their drivers licenses and proof of insurance. In all 66 citation were issued in the two hours of operation.
