El Paso, TX – El Paso County Sheriff’s Office conducted “Operation Sound the Alarm,” to assist business owners and the Sheriff’s Office in maintaining  up-to-date information on alarm permits.

The operation focused on maintaining a current status  on alarm permits, and business owner information. Throughout the course of the operation, deputies made contact with business owners in the county and their alarm permit status. If business did not have an alarm permit business owners and managers were provided with a brochure to help them acquire an alarm permit for their business.

Sheriff’s Office deputies met with the 82 business in the Horizon area to include Pellicano Dr. and 91 businesses in the Montana area.

The purpose of having an alarm permit registered for the business is to ensure that the Sheriff’s Office responds to any alarms from the business. The operation also gave deputies the opportunity to become familiar with the layout of the business in the area, an asset that will come in handy in case deputies ever need to respond after hours. The operation also helped strengthen the relationship between business owners and the Sheriff’s Office. You can check the status of your alarm permit or apply for an alarm permit by contacting the Sheriff’s Office at 915-538-2292.
