On Friday, November 18th, 2016,  El Paso County Sheriff’s Office deputies assigned to the East Montana Patrol started the school day at Dr. Sue Shook Elementary School with “High Five Friday.”

During “High Five Friday” Deputies help maintain order and unload children in a safe manner and at the same time give the children entering school a High Five if they are practicing good behaviors (following school rules, wearing safety belts, etc.).  Children are also given Sheriff’s Office souvenirs like pencils and pens.

“High Five Fridays” was launched at Dr. Sue Shook Elementary and deputies will continue to visit other schools.

Sheriff’s Office deputies also participated in career day at Dr. Sue Shook Elementary. Deputies shared with kindergarteners and 4th graders the daily duties of a Sheriff’s Office deputy, the presentation included a special appearance by Deputy Dawg.
