El Paso, TX – The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Explorer Post 2005 and Community Service Section will be conducting a training session on Saturday, February 4th, 2017.

The goal of the Explorer Post is to afford an opportunity to adolescents and young adults of the community to observe, participate and learn about law enforcement. The explorer post and its advisors provide education, training, and afford them the opportunity to begin serving the community. We will provide the explorers with sound information on which to base their decision on pursuing a career in law enforcement.

This Saturday, February 4th, 2017, the Explorer Post and Community Service Section will focus on radio communication and traffic stop.

Upon completion of the training, explorers will have learned the basic principles and techniques to conduct a traffic stop and how to effectively communicate over the radio with dispatchers.

Explorer training is open to our media partners, please contact Public Information Officer; Leslie Antunez at lantunez@epcounty.com for scheduling.
