El Paso, TX – The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Explorer Post 2005 and Community Service Section conducted a training session on Wednesday, February 8th, 2017.

The goal of the Explorer Post is to afford an opportunity to adolescents and young adults of the community to observe, participate and learn about law enforcement. The explorer post and its advisors provide education, training, and afford them the opportunity to begin serving the community. We will provide the explorers with sound information on which to base their decision on pursuing a career in law enforcement.

The training session focused on safety first aid and officer down scenario. Upon completion of the training, explorers learned the basic principles and techniques for providing first aid and how to respond to an officer down situation.
