ANIMAL CARE AND CONTROL APPRECIATION WEEK

El Paso, TX – Each year, the second week of April is dedicated to the hard-working men and women of Animal Care and Control.
“Animal Care and Control Appreciation Week – April 9th – April 15th, 2017.”
Animal Control Officers provide the essential community functions of enforcing Animal Control laws, protecting the public from diseases such as rabies, and educating the public on the proper care of the community's pets.
Animal Control Officers are dedicated to protecting the welfare of helpless animals and pets that are rescued from injury, disease, abuse, and starvation.
The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office would like to commend it’s Animal Control Officers for the many dedicated, long hours of service they provide to the residents of El Paso County.
