EPCSO ANNOUNCES INCREASED PATROLS FOR

MARDI GRAS

El Paso, TX – On Tuesday, February 13, 2018, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office will have extra deputies patrolling the roadways in response to “Fat Tuesday” celebrations taking place throughout El Paso County. Deputies will be targeting those party goers celebrating “Fat Tuesday” who are consuming alcohol and driving.

The Sheriff’s Office, with funding provided by the Texas Department of Transportation under the 2018 TXDOT STEP Comprehensive Grant, will have deputies maintaining high visibility and zero tolerance for those individuals drinking and driving.

The Sheriff’s Office would like to remind the public, that if they plan on consuming alcohol during tonight’s celebrations, to plan ahead and utilize alternative methods of transportation; taxis, buses, Uber services or designated drivers are highly recommended and encouraged.
